Baking: An essential culinary technique, baking involves preparing food using dry heat, usually in an oven. This technique can also be applied over hot ashes or on hot stones. Baking commonly transforms batters and doughs into delightful baked goods, featuring a firm, dry crust and a soft center.

🍞 The History of Baking Pastry Desserts:

Pain au Chocolat (chocolate bread) is a beloved pastry dessert roll featuring a cuboid shape, made with yeast-leavened laminated dough and filled with dark chocolate. Known in different regions as:

  • Petit pain au chocolat in Hauts-de-France and Alsace
  • Pain au chocolat in central France and Paris
  • Chocolatine in South-West France and Canada
  • Couque au chocolat in Belgium
  • Savored globally as "chocolate croissants" in many countries like the US and Australia.

Croissant is a sumptuous, buttery and flaky viennoiserie pastry originating from Austria. Laminating the layered yeast-leavened dough gives croissants their famous texture.

Schneck also known as escargot, is a uniquely spiral pastry dessert cherished for breakfast. With its pâtisserie viennoise origins, it's enjoyed worldwide.

Basically the same as googling a recipe online. But worst. Doesn't show you the techniques, and practically explains nothing. Time and money lost

very disappointed. wrong measurement was given for oil so I ruined my batch of croissants. In addition, giving me measurements in metrics doesn't help, it should be also shown in US measurements. took me more time to find what CL was

Good but short couse, I like how they use the same base for differents recipes whitch it's not normally shown in youtube repices and such. I how give a full mark if the visual department was a bit better but sometimes the camera is not focussed or there are some object obstructing part of the screen.
