Instructions
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter and sugar. Mix them well until they are fully integrated. Next, add in the egg and whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, vanilla powder, baking powder, and cocoa powder. Once sifted, gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until a dough forms. Be sure not to overmix!
Step 3
Fold in approximately 2/3 of the M&M’s into the dough. This will add bursts of color and flavor to your cookies. Gently mix so you don’t break the candies, but ensure they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Step 4
Using your hands, form the cookie dough into balls, each weighing around 35-40 grams (about 1.25-1.5 ounces). Place these cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and slightly flatten each ball with your hand.
Step 5
Top each cookie with a few of the remaining M&M’s for decoration. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the cookies for approximately 12 minutes. They should be lightly golden around the edges.
Step 6
Once baked, let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Enjoy your delicious M&M’s cookies warm or store them in an airtight container for later.
