Combine the yeast with warm water, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Let this mixture sit for about 10 minutes until bubbles form on the surface. This means the yeast is active.
Next, add the egg, melted butter, vanilla sugar, and pumpkin puree to the yeast mixture. Gradually add in the flour while mixing, until a dough forms. Knead the dough until smooth, then cover it and let it rise in a warm place for about 40 to 60 minutes.
Step 2
Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle approximately 1 to 1.5 centimeters thick. Spread melted butter evenly over the surface.
In a small bowl, mix cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg, then sprinkle this mixture over the buttered dough. Carefully roll the dough into a log and cut it into equal pieces.
Place the slices into a baking dish, ensuring to leave some space between them. Allow them to rest for another 20 minutes while preheating your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (about 350 degrees Fahrenheit).
Step 3
Once preheated, bake the rolls in the oven for about 40 minutes or until golden. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.

For the sauce, whip the cream in a bowl until soft peaks form. Then gently fold in the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar until everything is smooth and well combined.
