Instructions
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine 150 grams of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
In another bowl, beat 100 grams of softened butter and 100 grams of sugar together until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Then, add 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Step 2
Once the dough is well mixed, wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes. This step allows the flavors to meld and makes the dough easier to roll out.
Step 3
After chilling, preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out on a floured surface to about 5mm thickness.
Use cookie cutters to create your desired shapes and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
If desired, add sprinkles or chocolate chips for decoration before baking.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
